CONNECT GROUPS
Connect Groups begin October 4th

Connect Groups are meant to help people meet and connect with others. We want groups to grow in relationship with each other, building a sense of community and trust. Connect Groups are also meant for people to learn to read, interpret and apply the bible to their lives together. We want to grow in a love for God and for each other through our Connect Groups.

Groups will either begin their time eating a meal or enjoying refreshments together, getting to know each other, building relationships together and encouraging one another as we do. After an appropriate time, the Connect Group leaders will begin the more focussed study time in which they will facilitate a group time of working through that week’s lesson. The goal is not just to work through the study questions, taking the time needed to understand what is being asked and what the passage says, but also to encourage the group to apply the truths learned to our lives.
The group time will end with prayer as determined by the leaders. The goal of the prayer time is to pray things that come to mind from your study, as well as to pray for each other as a group. So, some groups will have one or two people pray, and others may have a larger group time of prayer. Some groups may take time to ask for prayer requests. If you are not comfortable praying out loud during this time, you will not be forced to do so.
